22 Minutes 2014

22 Minutes (original title: 22 минуты ) is a Russian military action film directed by Vasily Serikov , released in 2014 .

Written by Igor Poroublev  (ru) , the film is inspired by the true story of the hostage – taking of the Russian tanker Moscow University  (in) which took place in May 2010 in the Gulf of Aden . The film was produced by Alexei Sidorov and shot in Russian in Malta and Russia where it was screened on May 8 , 2014under the title litt. Russian  :  “двадцать два минуты “, RR  : “Dvadtsat Dve Minouty”, then in France on February 4 , 2015on DVD under the French title  : “22 minutes”.

22 minutes got Russian marine to free a hijacked oil tanker far from shore.
